An Easier Way to View Picture Books Online

The whole premise of Everytales.com is NOT that it's a unique idea (there are lots of outlets for sharing stories online, after all) but that it's an EASY interface for a user.

The ease of interface IS THE BRAND, at least as far as I'm concerned. And there is a great article by Information Architects called "The Interface of a Cheeseburger" that confirms the value of this concept, saying:

"The superficialists might say, that brands create identity through consistency, which creates trust. Sounds logical, but brands are not logical, they're emotional. If you see a brand as an interface it allows you to explore the notion of brand experience being user experience. People don't analyze usability, they enjoy it. For the customer usability is a matter of well being, while using. And being well means not needing to think in order to act."

Now in the case of Everytales, it's not necessarily the ease of use for the person who's posting the tale (who will have to do some work to format their story appropriately and then post it), but it's the ease of use for the VIEWER. There is no other site that I've seen like it that asks so little of you in order to view illustrated stories. Other sites often make you scan through text based lists, and then make you download a PDF, there is no story description or preview, and you have to go through several clicks to get there. But with Everytalesyou see it right away on the home page, and viewing a tale is only one click away.

This being said, the site is still in its alpha stage so send in your feedback to everytales if you think it can work better!
